We definitely got great value for our money at this guesthouse. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a wide choice of TV channels and even Netflix. The staff treated us like family and were always ready to give recommendations.
The breakfast option could have been improved by adding some croissants or scones.

The rooms at Swallows Nest Guesthouse were amazing! The balcony with a mountain view was breathtaking, making me feel like I was in a postcard. I loved how cozy and comfortable the guest rooms were, with a flat-screen TV and a safety deposit box to keep my valuables secure. It made me feel right at home. Some rooms even had a patio, where I could enjoy the fresh air and relax after a long day of exploring. It was the perfect spot to unwind. The guest room amenities were great, including a TV and a hairdryer. I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The twin room I stayed in had a convenient electric kettle, allowing me to make a warm cup of tea whenever I wanted. It was a nice touch. The double room I stayed in had a private entrance and soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed rest. It was just what I needed. The free WiFi in all rooms was a bonus, allowing me to stay connected and share my trip with friends and family.
Personally, I didn't fully enjoy the soundproofing feature in my room. I prefer to hear the natural sounds of the surroundings.

Amazing staff and great breakfast! The management and staff were so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was well organized and delicious, with a wide variety of choices. The location was key, overlooking the beautiful bay and the pool area was clean and inviting. We especially loved swimming in the saltwater pool at night.
Overpriced and not as advertised. The room did not match the pictures and lacked a balcony as promised.

The Highlight: The breathtaking mountain view from the balcony was like having a picturesque postcard waiting for me every morning. It made me feel like I was sipping my coffee in the heart of the Swiss Alps, rather than Plettenberg Bay.

The manager, Gerhard, was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. They went above and beyond to accommodate dietary needs, even getting gluten-free food from a distance. The family room was lovely and made us feel like we were at a cool sleepover. The wide choice of TV channels, including Netflix, was a bonus. The bathroom and walk-in closet were huge, and the kitchenette corner was a nice touch. The outside table provided a cozy spot for late-night chats under the stars. The breakfast overlooking the bay and garden with the pool was well-organized and delicious. The owner was kind and always gave great recommendations. The traditional style house with sea views from the balcony was beautiful. The private parking area made us feel secure. The warm welcome and advice from the owner were appreciated, along with the tasty Sherry in the room. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to the stunning beach and a lookout restaurant right next to the sea. the spacious room on the upper floor had a great sea view from the balcony. the breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of choices, and the friendly staff ensured a pleasant stay.
The room had a rather musty atmosphere, with cheap and tired furnishings, not meeting the high standards of other guesthouses in the same category and price.

Loved the outdoor pool, and the free parking made me feel like royalty. Breakfast was delicious, just what I needed to start the day.
Who needs a sea view anyway? The pictures were clearly lying, but who cares about that when you have a lot of brown colors in your room?
